Two.
Five things.
1… 2. I’m on the dating sites looking for new people to befriend and date. Someone interesting asked me about a typical day in my life and I thought it’d be cute to share my response with y’all: ”I wake up much earlier than my body wants. Use the restroom. Wake up the babies who share my life. Make coffee. Wake up the babies. Make coffee. Wake up kids. Get my 5 year old dressed since she feels so loved when I do that. Do the kids’ hair. Forget where my glasses are. Lock the door, walk to the car. Go back up to get my coffee. Go downstairs and hustle to get the kids to school 10 minutes late. Call my girlfriend and talk and listen to her breathe as they’re working while I’m driving. Take some edibles. Go to my student’s house to tutor him. Go home. Eat lunch. Sew/do laundry/ have a meeting/take nap (I am eternally tired- I have a plan that will impact this which I’ve already put into action). Two hours later, go and pick the kids up from school. Do homework and dinner. Nighttime routine and read a story to the kids. Scroll and swipe/have another meeting/sew/veg and go to bed later than intended.”
I put out my schedule of sewing offerings for the month of January.
Splinter Collective had a Solstice Gay-la on Wednesday, December 21 and it was a truly a wonderful night. I sewed this dress:
On Patreon (links embedded for each post) this past month I’ve written five posts. The titles are as follows:
.How I talk to myself matters (a little theme, I guess)
.From the archives: Welcome to motherhood. Month one.
I’d love for you to join me on Patreon. You can read exclusive content and engage with me in a more personalized way for $3 per month. I understand if you can’t support me financially and even if you don’t want to however, I want to personally invite you into the space I’m curating there.
I’m toying with the idea of offering a discount code for my shop and workshops to Patreon peeps and BIPoC. Let me know if you’re into this idea by responding to this newsletter OR by messaging me on Patreon.
